This winter a small group of us will travel to the foothills of Kilimanjaro to be hosted by Floresta Tanzania. We will get to experience first-hand the remarkable growth of this program. You will visit a variety of agricultural and environmental projects and learn about the special challenges faced by poor farmers in the Kilimanjaro region. The visit will also include a 2-day safari in a local game park. Cost: $1,500 per person plus airfare.

Travel with us to the colonial city of Santo Domingo, the oldest city in the new world. After orientation in the city, we will visit several Floresta projects in the countryside, spending the nights in a comfortable EcoLodge in the country side. Our visit will also correspond with Floresta’s annual Dominican board meeting, where we will be able to interact with their staff and governing board, joining with them as they celebrate their accomplishments over the past year. Cost: $700 per person plus airfare.

This trip starts in Oaxaca City, one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the new world. After team orientation we will visit several of the 40 communities where Floresta works. We will see firsthand the environmental challenges that farmers face and the dramatic progress they have made to better their lives. Cost: $700 per person plus airfare.
