Recipe: Dulce Tres Leches
A Traditional Dominican Dessert Compliments of our partners in the DR.
(A light sponge cake soaked with a mixture of three kinds of milk.)
1 large can of condensed milk
1 can (same size as above) milk cream
1 can (same size as above) whole milk
1 cinnamon stick
Vanilla extract to your liking
Add all these ingredients in a saucepan at high temp. Heat until boiling point. Then, reduce temperature and let it simmer for 5 to 10 more minutes at low temp.
Prepare an angel food cake.
When cream is ready... (not hot) pour on to cake. Let cool in refrigerator for 2-3 hrs before serving.
Add any topping... whipped cream and fruit is delicious. |
