Junior Volunteers of the Quarter
Blake is a very committed Floresta volunteer who spends about 2-3 hours per week watering elm trees. On two weekends when rain deterred other volunteers from helping in the nursery, Blake immediately picked up the slack by doing an extensive amount of shoveling, transplanting, and general nursery work. His hard work has significantly helped to keep Floresta¹s elms in tip-top shape! Thank you Blake!
Blake is 7 years old and also participates heavily in Awanas Club, sports, and raising chickens.
Natalie¹s involvement at the Floresta elm tree nursery has also been significant. She has given a great deal of effort to ensure the trees prosper. Especially during the "crunch" season when many of the trees needed to be transplanted at the same time, Natalie came to the rescue. For the past three years, she has been involved with maintenance of the trees - fertilizing, watering, staking, and moving them whenever necessary. Her assistance in the nursery has been crucial. Thank you Natalie!
Natalie is 9 years old, does synchronized swimming and is the countywide Spelling Bee co-champion.
Note: The elm tree nursery is located in Jamul, California, just east of San Diego. We are all very relieved and grateful to report that the Adamson home and the Floresta elm tree nursery was narrowly spared from the devastating fires that threatened the area. Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow! |
