Annually, billions of dollars are donated to charity by individuals giving at work.
What are workplace Campaigns?
Workplace campaigns, sometimes called workplace employee charitable fund drives, are charitable programs conducted at places of work. Most gifts are made in the form of pledges for automatic payroll deduction, where contributions are deducted from an employee's paycheck over the course of the next year. Some gifts are one-time contributions.

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)
In the federal government's campaign, known as the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), participation is open to a much larger number of charitable organizations. National charitable organizations qualify by applying to the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM), either directly or through a federation.

Workplace Campaign Mechanics
Each individual campaign is launched in a different way. Typically in any given workplace campaign, employees are given a brochure, which lists the participating organizations, and a pledge card. Organizations within the CFC are issued code numbers. The number for Floresta within the CFC Campaign is ___.

In many United Way or corporate campaigns, donors are permitted to designate their gifts to an organization of their choice. Ask your employer if you may designate Floresta as a write-in at your workplace giving campaign. In doing this you may be required to provide the charities address, which is as follows:

Using all the information available to them, donors choose one or more organizations and/or federations to be the recipient(s) of their gifts and complete their pledge cards appropriately.
Most workplace fund drives occur in the Fall. Individual campaigns last anywhere from one week to three months. Automatic payroll deduction of pledges begins in January of the following year.
